Board Welcomes Three New Members

February 1, 2020 (Omaha, Nebraska) — A Time to Heal Cancer Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of three distinguished members to its Board of Directors.

Corey C. Aldy is the Assistant Vice President of the Underwriting Services Division at Physicians Mutual Insurance Company. Corey has been in the insurance industry for 29 years, joining Physicians Mutual in 2016. She earned her degree in nursing at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Early in her career, she served as a pediatric staff nurse at Children’s Hospital, where she still volunteers. Corey has two children.

Mark Billington is the Director of Nebraska Methodist College’s Center for Research, Education and Teaching Excellence. Mark returned to Nebraska in August, 2019 after a 30-year career at Apple, Inc. in Seattle, Washington. In his current role, he is creating a powerful and innovative learning environment for the next generation of nurses and other medical professionals. Mark and his first wife Lori waged an aggressive fight against her cancer that added four years to her prognosis. He has since remarried.

Matt Maiers, CPA is an Audit Partner at KMPG, where he has served since 2002. Matt has worked with
several not-for-profit and healthcare entities including Nebraska Methodist Hospital, Children’s Hospital
(Omaha, Nebraska), Children’s Mercy Hospital (Kansas City, Missouri) and Boys Town. Matt graduated from Creighton University, where he is now president of the Accounting Department advisory board. Matt and his wife have four children who are active in the Saint Vincent de Paul community. He will serve as the incoming Treasurer for A Time to Heal.

These new members formally joined the board in February of 2020 and will serve two-year terms.

A Time to Heal Cancer Foundation (ATTH) was created in 2005 to provide training and support for cancer survivors. With advanced technology and medical treatments, more people than ever are surviving cancer. The ATTH mission is to help those survivors live their best lives.
